I am passionate about women being able to create their own financial freedom, and one of the best ways to do that is to become an entrepreneur.

 In March 2020,  just as lockdown hit, I put a call out on LinkedIn offering free mentoring sessions to anyone who wanted to start their own business. Over the next few months I mentored over 40 women who ranged from having an idea, to being freelance and wanting to expand, through to those who were a year or two into their entrepreneurial journey and feeling ready to quit.


What I soon came to realised was that many of them were asking me the same questions and hitting the similar pivotal moments as I had. So, I decide to create this course to be able reach many more of you than I can doing these one-to-one sessions.

Emma Sexton

Emma has over 28 years experience working within the creative industries. Her extensive career experience provides a unique lens on the business of creativity having operated within creative agencies, as a leader of in-house creative teams, and as an entrepreneur. A design thinker and doer having started her own creative agency (Hands Down!®) in 2013, which was one of the first creative agencies in the UK to become a B Corp. The remote first agency provided strategic brand design for future focused technology brands ranging from high-growth start-ups to enterprise businesses, manufacturers, and technology giants. Some of Emma’s clients included Google, Snapchat, and Silicon Valley Bank. In the same year she launched her agency, Emma created the UK and Europe’s only awards for in-house creative teams (Inside Out Awards™). In 2017 Emma was appointed Creative Expert In Residence at the award winning King's College Entrepreneurial Institute, and in 2018 Designer in Residence at Imperial Enterprise Lab. Over the past five years Emma has advised over 120 start-up ventures, across multiple sectors (from vegan ice cream to quantum computing and A.I.), on how to leverage design, creativity and branding to contribute to their business success.
